Getting on Your Bike Is Quick, Healthy & Low Cost

Getting on your bike is quick, cheap and provides a number of health benefits such as a positive contribution to weight loss and mental health, and reduced chance of serious illness. Cycling is, therefore, a great way to get around the local area, or if you are a little fitter, to travel further afield.

You can cycle from the Chesterwell development to a range of key destinations in around 10-15 minutes, including Colchester North railway station, the Asda superstore, Colchester General Hospital and the Colchester Community Stadium. If you wish to avoid main roads, there is an off-road cycle route that extends for the majority of the route from the Chesterwell site to the rail station (to the east of Mile End Road/Nayland Road).
